Direct Thermal Printing at 203 dpi

The ZD421 prints at up to 6 inches per second at 203 dpi (8 dots/mm). So it clears a run of shipping labels or product tags quickly, while still keeping barcodes sharp enough to scan first time. Because it uses direct thermal technology, you never need to buy or fit a ribbon — the printhead simply heats the label media to form the image.

It accepts label media up to 4.09″ (104mm) wide and handles roll stock up to 5.0″ (127mm) in outside diameter. Furthermore, the movable media sensor adapts to gap, black mark, and notch stock, so you’re not tied to one label supplier. A colour-coded touch point also guides you through media changes, and the three-button, five-LED interface keeps day-to-day status visible at a glance.

Built-In Ethernet and Bluetooth LE 5.0

You can connect the ZD421 to your network via 10/100 Ethernet, so every workstation on-site can send labels to one shared printer. Alternatively, the USB port allows a direct desktop link, and the USB Host port supports keyboards, scanners, or firmware updates from a memory stick.
