Moreover, the Auto Colour Detection feature analyses each page and scans it in the appropriate mode automatically, so there’s no need to pre-sort colour and black and white documents before loading the tray.

The dual paper path gives you the flexibility to handle a wide range of document types. The default U-turn path manages standard business documents such as A4 reports and invoices at full speed. Alternatively, the straight paper path handles thicker or more fragile media, including plastic cards, driving licences, and documents up to 546 g/m² — so one scanner covers the full range of departmental scanning needs.

Intelligent Features for Unattended Batch Scanning

The DR-6010C includes a comprehensive set of automated image processing tools. Specifically, it automatically detects page size, deskews skewed originals, skips blank pages, and removes backgrounds — all without manual intervention. Because of this, large mixed batches scan cleanly and consistently from start to finish. In addition, the Ultrasonic Double Feed Detection sensor identifies any pages feeding together and stops immediately, so no document is lost or damaged mid-batch.

The Rapid Recovery System also makes misfeed resolution fast and easy. Simply remove the offending sheet and continue from where you left off, without restarting the whole job. Furthermore, the MultiStream function lets you produce two separate output files from a single pass — for example, a searchable PDF alongside a compressed image — doubling the value of each scan run.

USB and SCSI-3 Connectivity

You can connect the DR-6010C via Hi-Speed USB 2.0 for a direct workstation setup. Alternatively, the SCSI-3 interface provides high-throughput integration with servers and document management systems that require fast, continuous data transfer. Because of this, it works well in both desktop and networked departmental scanning environments.
